Fillet Frame

This stunning miniature watercolor by Singaporean artist Alexis Tay was such a fun framing project! We wanted to create something to reflect the colors of the artwork, but the red frame and teal mat weren't quite hitting the mark. It needed something to really pop. That's where fillets come in!

A fillet is narrow strip of material, usually wood, with a "lip" that gets covered by the rim of the frame. Fillets come in a huge array of colors and textures, and are a great way to accent any frame. We are so pleased with how this one turned out!
