About the artist:
“I am fascinated by the way our minds sort through chaotic strata of images, ideas, memories, and impulses, and arrive at (usually) coherent thoughts. The name Liminal Spaces is derived from my interest in representing a transitional state of mind by using overlapping layers of sometimes ambiguous images. The mixed media collages I create make use of layers of torn and cut paper, gel plate monoprints, ink, acrylic paint, or digital illustrations to produce a harmonious visual expression of that process.
"I studied art and design at the University of Michigan and Metropolitan State College (Denver) and I have taken many art workshops and classes online as well as in person at Cornish College of the Arts, The Pacific Northwest Art School on Whidbey Island, and the Oregon College of Arts and Crafts (Portland).”
